A long time ago, in a grand palace in India, a prince named Siddhartha Gautama was born. His father, the king, wanted him to be a great ruler, so he kept Siddhartha surrounded by luxury, music, and feasts. The young prince never saw sadness, sickness, or suffering. He had everything one could wish for-fine clothes, delicious food, and a beautiful palace.

    The Four Encounters

One day, curious about the world beyond the palace, Siddhartha sneaked out with his charioteer. What he saw changed his life forever:

    1. An old man - He realized that everyone, even kings, grows old.

    2. A sick man - He saw how illness can make people weak and helplelss.

    3. A dead man - He learned that death comes for all, no matter how rich or strong they are.

    4. A peaceful monk - Despite having nothing, the monk looked content and wise.

Siddhartha was shaken. "Is life only about growing old, falling sick, and dying?" he wondered. "Is there no way to escape suffering?"

    The Great Departure

Determined to find answers, Siddhartha left his palace, his wealth, and even his family. He became a wandering monk, seeking wisdom from the greatest teachers. He fasted for days, meditated in forests, and tested his body with extrem hardships. But he still didn't find the truth he was looking for.

One day, weak from hunger, he collapsed near a river. A kind village girl offered him, a bowl of rice. As he ate, he realized: starving himself was just as useless as living in luxuary. Neither extreme brought true wisdom.

The Enlightenment Under the Bodhi Tree

Siddhartha sat beneath a great Bodhi tree and vowed, "I will not move until I find the truth." He meditated for many dyas, facing fears and temptations. Finally, like the first rays of the morning sun, the truth dawned upon him:

    -desire and attachment cause suffering.

-by letting go of greed, anger, and ignorance, one can find peace.

-the middle path-a balanced way of living-leads the wisdom and happiness.

At that moment, Siddhartha became the Buddha, meaning "The Awakened One."
    Sprediing the Wisdom

The Buddha spent the rest of his life teaching others. He explained the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, simple yet deep teachings to end suffering and find peace. Thousands followed him, from kings to beggars, and his wisdom spread across the world.

At the age of 80, the Buddha passed away peacefully, leaving behind not riches but a path to true happiness. His words still inspire millions today, reminding us that kindness, wisdom, and balance can lead to a joyful life.

And so, the prince who once had everything gave up everything-and found something greater:enlightenment.
